The Campaign

Book purchases for pediatric offices and sites that serve approximately 30% or more of Medicaid patients are eligible for limited funding from the national Reach Out and Read (ROR) offices.

However, sites that see fewer Medicaid patients can have other costs of the program and additional book dollars funded by the Kansas Pediatric Foundation (KPF), the charitable arm of the Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (KAAP).

In order to fund this program, the KPF has designed the
Turn a Page. Touch a Mind. (TAP-TAM) Campaign
with a $2 million goal.

Once the campaign goals are achieved, and our Literacy Endowment Fund reaches $2,000,000, the endowed fund will generate the earnings that will fund the purchase of books and other program costs. A startup grant from the Kansas Health Foundation has allowed KPF to fund current book needs while building a base for future funding.
